Veins and Polar Bears, presented by their captains, CarlosKerber and Frigateland, have agreed to hold the team match in April-May 2009 according to the following conditions.

Conditions

• The two teams are divided into four Quads according to players' ratings.
• The match takes place in four rounds, each of which lasts one week.
• Two players from every team and from each Quad play in every round.
• In each Quad the format is double round robin, with alternating colours.
• The schedule for each Quad is as follows, given (A, B) and (X, Y) form the lineups of the two teams:
  • Round 1: A vs X, Y vs B
  • Round 2: Y vs A, B vs X
  • Round 3: X vs A, B vs Y
  • Round 4: A vs Y, X vs B
• The time control is 30 30.

Negotiation

• www.madrook.ru is the official site for Rosters, Pairings, Standings, and discussions.
• To negotiate about your game, please login at www.madrook.ru (logins and passwords are case sensitive) and use the forum 'Veins vs Polar Bears'. In the Game Forums you may negotiate. In the 'Information' Section you may ask questions or ask for the problems to be solved.
• This is a friendly match, so we rely heavily on everyone's decency. Be polite and respect other players.
• Every round begins on Monday 00:00 server time and ends on Sunday 23:59 server time.
• Please make contact as soon as possible, and offer three times to play. Finish your game by the end of a round.
• Use server time in negotiations.
• The official requirement is to make contact within 48 hours since the pairings are posted. This is the First Contact deadline. The Contact-or-Forfeit deadline is 72 hours.
• The first round begins on Tuesday, April 28.

Playing

• Once you have agreed with your opponent for a time, show up for your game in time.
• The official grace period is 30 mintues, however we hope for the players' goodwill and common sense to dominate.
• Noescape off. Private off.
• After the game save it in your history, journal, or e-mail it to Frigateland. The archive of all the games will be available after the match.
• With any problems please contact your Captain or Deputy Captain.
